I'm still back on book 5 and in need of a kick in the pants for motivation. I like so much the things you have said here about joining the engaging in culture-making enterprises. I have been feeling the urge for my writing to be something more than telling. This is good food for thought.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-24215087.post-20287195899409652442007-07-30T13:36:00.000-05:002007-07-30T13:36:00.000-05:00Mark - Ellen just blogged about The Restorer over ...Mark - Ellen just blogged about The Restorer over at Team Hsu, and I just linked to it in this post. Since my kids are too young for Potter, that means my wife and I are reading it out loud to each other. Needless to say, we still have a ways to go.

Glad to see that your wife is reading The Restorer. I'd be curious what she thought of it.

And I love what you say about the opportunity to participate in a cultural event of shared reading. How often does that happen? For me, that's the real magic of Harry Potter. It makes people want to participate. And it reminds them of the joy they find in being creative.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
